1. How did you first come to join Fit4Mom? I joined in fall of 2019. I saw it listed in Chapel Hill-Carrboro Moms Club on Facebook and decided to join the run club since I had been running on the treadmill for a LONG time and wanted to start with a group (and run outside!)
2. How long / what classes do you teach? I coach Run Club and Boost classes. I started coaching Run Club in fall 2023 and then added in Boost spring 2024.
3. What do you love the most about being part of the Fit4Mom Community? I love the people and the support we give and receive from one another. We don't just go to a class and then go home. We chat, learn about/from each other and support each other.
4. What would you say to someone who is hesitant to check out our classes? Everyone is friendly and the instructors are taught to help modify all moves. So if you need to adjust something, we can help you figure out how to work with your body. We want you to be the best version of yourself, so come join us and see how much fun we can have while doing that!
5. Describe yourself in three words. Caring, loyal and hardworking
6. Biggest "guilty pleasure"? Bananas, Peanut Butter and chocolate! That combo is my favorite and I can mix it into dairy free vanilla ice cream or yogurt and be happy!
7. I'm happiest when... I'm with my family. I would prefer to be outdoors, but honestly it doesn't matter. Just being together is what makes me happiest!
8. One more interesting fact we don't know about you. I ran Albany Lab Rescue in Albany, NY for about 5 years. I had been a part of a raid on a large puppy mill organized by local law enforcement and a Golden Retriever rescue and there were a few Labrador Retrievers in the raid. There wasn't an organized rescue in the area at the time for Labs, so I ended up starting one (and rescuing one of the mamas from the raid! We call that a "Foster Failure") I handed Albany Lab Rescue off to someone else once I got pregnant and life got busy, and then it was absorbed by a larger rescue group. But it was a heart wrenching and yet very rewarding period of time to work with those pups we saved.
