Meet Ginny, Our February Instructor of the Month!

How did you first come to join Fit4Mom?

My neighbor invited me to Candlelight Yoga at the Parlour back in 2018 and after only one session, I was hooked! I quickly began attending Boost classes, Body Ignite and Run Club as well.

How long / what classes do you teach?

I’ve been a Run Club coach and Body Ignite instructor since 2019…wow, time has flown!

What do you love the most about being part of the Fit4Mom Community?

I love connecting with other women facing similar joys and challenges in life. I can exercise on my own but Fit4Mom is about so much more! Moving our bodies together helps us form strong connections, which not only improves our physical health but our mental health as well.

What would you say to someone who is hesitant to check out our classes?

I get it! I was hesitant too. Trying something new is hard. And we’ve got you! Bring all of yourself to class - no need to pretend - and we will welcome you, include you, and help you feel better in body and in spirit.

Describe yourself in three words.

Fun-loving, fierce, compassionate

Biggest "guilty pleasure"?

Honestly, I don’t like to put those two words together. Pleasure is good for us! No need to attach judgment and feel bad about it. I like to think about “gifted pleasures” instead because it reminds me that I’m worthy of giving myself a gift or indulgence. (And so are you!) I can’t think of just one so here are a few…dark chocolate m&ms, watching a show in the middle of the day, and true crime podcasts.

I'm happiest when...

I’m outside (camping, hiking, swimming) and unplugged with my family.

One more interesting fact we don't know about you.

I’m an ordained Presbyterian minister and I serve part-time as pastor to a small church. So I am also Rev. Ginny!
