1. How did you first come to join Fit4Mom?
I attended a Sunday run club in November 2018. I recently started back running and I wanted to run with a group. Everyone was so welcoming and was so out of breath, but I had a blast and kept coming consistently every Sunday and Tuesday!
2. How long have you been an instructor and what classes do you teach?
I have been a Run Club Coach since 2020 and most recently became certified in Body Ignite which is a great class with small weights that focuses on strengthening your core.
3. What do you love the most about being part of the Fit4Mom Community
I love that I can get a great physical workout but also a mental workout to deal with demands of molding and taking care of children/being a mom. Everyone is at different parental stages and its so great to hear stories of how we raise our kids! I have older kids and I like to think I give other moms a look ahead view of what's to come. The Powell children can be wild!
4. What would you say to someone who is hesitant to check out our classes
I would say give it a try! There are so many types of classes within Fit4Mom. You will find your people and make lifelong friends. Everyone is so welcoming and supportive.
5. What's your favorite Chapel Hill/Carrboro restaurant/eatery and what's your favorite thing to get there?
My favorite restaurant would have to be Spicy 9. I love sushi and with it being so close to UNC's campus the prices are great!
6. Would you prefer a relaxing vacation or an action packed vacation?Definitely a relaxing vacation.....action packed is at home waiting for me.
