1. Where are you from originally?
I am from Raleigh, NC.
2. When did you join FIT4MOM?
I joined Fit4Mom in 2021 when my first child, Lilly was 6 weeks old and since then I have had Ethan, 2 and Henry, 5 months old.
3. What is your favorite thing about FIT4MOM?I really enjoy the community of moms that come together to workout, socialize and support each other and in return our children get to make “Stroller Stride friends.”
4. What do you currently do? I am a stay at home mom.
5. Share your thoughts on the concept of“it takes a village” – is it important for moms to join a village? I think it is so important to have a village. Joining Fit4Mom has been so good for my mental health, it helps get us out of the house and being able to chat with other moms in a similar season of life is especially nice. The grandparents have also been a crucial part of our village for so many reasons.
6. What is your favorite beverage? I love a chai tea latte or an Oktoberfest beer.
7. What is your favorite dessert? Anything peanut butter and chocolate.
8. You are given 4 hours to yourself, what would you do? If I had 4 hours to myself I would go to a coffee shop and pick up an iced chai tea latte and go for a nice walk or hike with my dog, Nonny and then just sit for a while.
9. What is your ultimate child-free vacation destination? Ireland, which was the plan before having children but then COVID hit. I hope Michael and I get the chance to go to Ireland, I think it would be fun to take the children too.
10. How did becoming a mother change you? After becoming a mother I have become even more patient and a planner with a lot of routines.
11. I am happiest when… We as a family spend time together having fun and laughing. This usually involves exploring somewhere new and seeing the excitement on Lilly and Ethan’s face is priceless.
