Tar Heel 10-Miler Race Training Program

10-Miler race training program designed to help you progress safely, run strong, and cross the finish line with confidence! You'll learn effective running form, breathing techniques, fueling for longer runs, best practices for injury prevention, and more. Weekly training emails will keep you motivated, progressing towards your goals, and learning key running tips.

Gradually increase your mileage with our group runs on Sundays at 8:00a meeting at Wilson Park in Carrboro. It is recommended you are currently running 3 times a week and can comfortably run 3 miles prior to starting this training program.

Your complete training program will be provided by your coach. Strollers are welcome to training runs, but may not be permitted for your race.
